Last week, JWOC 2027 Team welcomed the IOF Senior Event Adviser Kell Sønnichsen, for a planning visit focused on key aspects of the event preparation.

During the visit, we reviewed competition areas and inspected potential course concepts in the terrain, visited the future Event Centre location and met with local authorities. A substantial part of the programme was also dedicated to the preparation of Bulletin 2, including accommodation and other key organisational matters. The bulletin is now in the final stages of preparation and will be published without delay, no later than before the start of JWOC 2026.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity to discuss progress, exchange ideas and ensure that preparations for JWOC 2027 continue in line with IOF requirements and expectations.

Preparations are moving forward and the visit marked another important step towards delivering a successful JWOC 2027.
