Welcome to the JWOC 2027 training opportunities in Lower Silesia, Poland. This website provides an overview of the training possibilities available in the months leading up to the championships, which will take place in the beautiful and technically challenging terrains of the Kłodzko Valley. Our goal is to provide teams with high-quality training opportunities in terrains similar to those that will be used during the championships. In preparation for JWOC 2027, several training events, official training camps and training maps will be available. More information can be found below.
Training maps
Training maps will be available for athletes wishing to organize their own training activities in the JWOC 2027 region. These opportunities are intended to support teams in their preparation by providing access to terrains similar to those used during the championships. Two types of training maps will be offered. The first category includes freely available maps, which can be used for independent training. The second category consists of up-to-date maps with official training courses specifically designed for JWOC athletes, providing high-quality training opportunities in relevant terrains. Training maps will be available from March 2026 until July 2027.
Free maps
A limited number of training maps are available free of charge. These maps can be used for independent training and provide an opportunity to become familiar with the general characteristics of the local terrain. A full list of available maps can be found here. Please note that these maps were produced several years ago and may not be fully up to date due to intensive forest work in the area. Participants should therefore expect possible changes in vegetation, paths and other terrain features.
Official trainings
Training maps are available for athletes wishing to train in JWOC-relevant terrains. Teams and athletes can order maps only or maps with prepared training courses. All these maps were revised in 2026 and provide the highest quality standard, ensuring reliable terrain representation and suitable training conditions. The prepared training courses have been designed to offer valuable preparation for the technical challenges expected during JWOC 2027. Additional training maps will be gradually added to the list in the coming months, expanding the available training opportunities in the region.
Controls
All start, finish and control points in the forest are marked with a 1-meter-long purplish-red ribbon with the control number and the JWOC 2027 logo. Start, finish and control points are not marked in the terrain for sprint trainings. If a control marking is missing, please inform the organizers so that it can be replaced.
Cost
You have different possibilities to buy training maps:
• Printed map with official training course: 6 € per athlete/training
• Purchase of the map file (OCAD): 100 € per team + 3 € per athlete/training
Orders
To order training maps, please use the order form. We kindly ask that you place your order at least 14 days before your arrival. The invoice will be sent by e-mail. Printed maps that have been ordered will be either shipped or handed out during the training, according to the agreed arrangement. The printed maps will be of the same quality, material and produced by the same printing company as those used for JWOC 2027.
